The first-person shooter is code-named BlueStreak, and is being developed by Boss Key Productions, a studio co-founded by former Epic Games designer Cliff Bleszinski.
Nexon America will acquire a minority stake in the studio, as well as exclusive rights to publish the game.
"Creating fun and memorable shooters is in my DNA," says Bleszinski in a statement released Tuesday. "Making the move to free-to-play games is all about maximizing the potential audience for your title while embracing where the industry is headed."
Bleszinski is best known for his work with Epic Games' first-person shooter Unreal Tournament and, most recently, the Gears of War trilogy available for Microsoft's Xbox 360.
